This page outlines some basic ideas for global KinkForAll community projects that some people think would be nice to have. These will only get done if someone wants to make them happen.

 

If you see something that sparks your interest, send an email to the mailing list to let others know you want to work on it, and mention what you think you can do. Then, just do it. Share your results as-you-work with others by keeping the mailing list abreast of your progress. That's how everything happens around here.

 

And don't forget: if you're not having fun, stop and try working on something else. There are plenty of ideas in this document for you to pick up and run with. Don't waste time doing something you don't want to do. Ever.

Here's a brief, temporary listing of some of the things the community has accomplished. If you worked on any of these items, give yourself some big kudos!

 

  • √ DONE - See http://wiki.KinkForAll.org/KinkForAll - Create a "KinkForAll trailer" video, a short movie that highlights how cool KinkForAll unconferences are and perhaps includes some video from previous events. Two different versions might be nice: a 30 second version for short "ad spots" and a longer, 2 to 5 minute version in the form of a full-length trailer or promotional micro-documentary.

 

Promotional

 

  • Create message-specific KinkForAll videos. Similar to above, but each one can focus on a particular principle of KinkForAll. For example, one video might be an inspirational message all about collaboration. Another might be about accessibility, etc.

 

Meta

 

  • Improve the design of KinkForAll.org. This should focus improvements around a user experience flow. KinkForAll has many audiences, both technically savvy and not, so improving the usability of the main site for all visitors is a challenge.
  • Create an unorganizer's video to complement the unorganizer's guide. Perhaps something like "The Making of a KinkForAll" video?
