A place to document some (hopefully) "common sense" expectations of respectable etiquette at and in relation to KinkForAll unconferences.
- Match the leader: time slots can be filled with any kind of session. They can be open-ended conversations, facilitated discussions, fishbowl talks, lectures, slide shows, hands-on exercises, or something else. As a participant, match the leader's style. Listen quietly to a lecturer. Speak up as part of a conversation.
- Rescheduling is totally fine, but if you're moving someone else's time slot (i.e., touching someone else's sticky note), seek that person out before you do.
- Filming? Try to position the speaker facing the doorway, so that your recording captures the speaker with their back to the wall and participants are free to arrive or leave the room you're in without crossing the line-of-sight of the camera.
- Audio recording? Remember to use participants' names as they appear on name-tags. Do this even if you are have a personal relationship with someone and know their legal name. The name people choose on their name tags is the only name you should assume is safe to use.
