This event has ended. Looking for KinkForAll Providence 2?

Thank you and followups!

KinkForAll Providence is over, but this page and its related pages will continue to evolve.

The event was successful, with approximately 90 attendees, and we hope that KinkForAll Providence 2 manages to bring in even more folks.  Although the unconference itself is now over, this is just the beginning. Some things to do now are:

KinkForAll Providence is a full day of sexuality discussions and presentations created by you, the event participants. Oh yeah, and it's totally free.

It'll happen on February 6th at 10 AM until 6:30 PM sponsored by SHEEC, the Sexual Health Education and Empowerment Council, at Brown University in Wilson Hall (on the Main Green, at the intersection of Brown Street and George Street) in Providence, RI, 02912. Won't you help us distribute some flyers?

Read through WhatToExpect to learn more about what a KinkForAll event is like, or watch some videos from past events! Don't forget to add KinkForAll Providence to your calendar! If you really can't make it, we'll miss you, but you can still follow the action online at the KinkForAllProvidenceLive page.

Needs list

Support equipment is still in the process of being organized. Currently, we have need (or want) of the items on the following list. If you are participating and/or are able and willing to lend us a hand, we'd very much appreciate it. Offer your help by sending email to the mailing list so that we can coordinate getting things done together. If you are already planning to bring things please list them on the KinkForAllProvidenceInventory page.

Location and Directions

KinkForAll Providence will be hosted on the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. We have the first floor of Wilson Hall at our disposal (Rooms 101 through 106 and 109). The Wilson building is unfortunately not handicapped accessible, so if you believe you will need special accommodations of any sort, please contact Aida Manduley ( as soon as possible.

Since the building is in the middle of the "Main Green," the easiest directions are: get to the intersection of Brown Street and George Street and walk into the Green (past a gate). Walk straight on the path and Wilson Hall will be the second building on the right; it also conveniently says Wilson Hall in front, and we'll have signs pointing to it the day of the conference.

Public Transportation

Brown University's Wilson Hall is easily accessible via various public transit options:

Within Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority buses are your best bet.

  1. Take the 42 - Hope Street bus to the Tunnel and Thayer Street bus stop.
  2. Walk towards the Main Green of Brown University.

From Boston

There is a low-cost commuter rail from Boston's South Station running a Providence/Stoughton Line that puts you at the Providence Amtrak Station. From there, it's a short walk, taxi, or bus ride to our venue.

Street parking is generally available in the area around Brown University. The University also provides parking permits for visitors based on availability. See the Brown University Parking information pages for details.

Internet Access

Brown University is able to provide pre-registered participants with free Wi-Fi Internet access during KinkForAll Providence. The last day to apply for a GuestID and access is February 4th. If you want to use the University's free wireless Internet service, please be sure to include the following information when you sign up, above:

An individual username and password will be emailed to you before the event, allowing you to log on to the University's Wi-Fi network.

We're working to provide some open Internet access for those who do not pre-register or who are not comfortable giving this information. We hope that everyone will have at least some Wi-Fi, but if you know in advance that you will be attending, would like to use the Internet, and are able to give the required information, we urge you to do so. If you are comfortable sharing the requested information, but not comfortable posting it on the internet, just email Aida Manduley at and she will make the arrangements directly. That said, please do still sign up on the registration table above, using whatever information you feel comfortable posting.
