Getting involved in KinkForAll Washington DC is as easy as:

 

1. signing up in the table below,
2. reaching out to your friends and allies in other communities and telling them about KinkForAll Washington DC (here's a printable flyer you can post in your local café, or 4 mini-flyer per-page format),
3. showing up! (Add KinkForAll Washington DC to your calendar.)

Pre-registration signup

 

This is the inaugural KinkForAll Washington DC event.  

 

To participate, press the "Edit" link at the top of this page and add your name as a new row to this table. (If a blank row is not available, place your cursor in the bottom-right most cell and press TAB. Watch a short video walkthrough for additional guidance.) When you're done, be certain to join the mailing list and introduce yourself.

 

Note: As part of our agreement to use the facilities, we can not allow people to attend who have been convicted of or pleaded (1) guilty, (2) “no contest” or (3) nolo contendere to a misdemeanor involving sexual misconduct or a felony (whether or not resulting in a conviction).

Date and Time

 

The Executive Office Building is located about a short walk from the Rockville Metrorail station (near the end of the Red line), which is located at 251 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, MD 20850. Here's a Google Map of the short, 5-minute walk. Step by step directions are as follows:

 

1. Take the Red Line Metro to the Rockville station.
2. After exiting the station, take the pedestrian bridge across the road and continue until you reach Monroe Street.
3. Turn left at Monroe Street (before the cinema). The Executive Office Building will be located on your right.

 

Parking

 

Free parking is available at the County Council Garage across the street from the Executive Office Building, at the intersection of West Jefferson St and Monroe St. There's also a pay-lot at 51 Monroe Street called Colonial Parking, a 2 minute walk away from our venue.

Needs list

 

Support equipment is still in the process of being organized. Currently, we have need (or want) of the items on the following list. If you are participating and/or are able and willing to lend us a hand, we'd very much appreciate it. Offer your help by sending email to the mailing list so that we can coordinate getting things done together. If you are already planning to bring things please list them on the KinkForAllWashingtonDCInventory page.

 

• Camcorders/handycams/video and audio recording equipment. (Bring your still cameras, too!)
• Room dividers?
• Projector screens?
• Wireless Internet access equipment (to provide free Wi-Fi at the event)
  • 3G/WiMax cards and/or Symbian OS phones running JoikuSpot (mobile hotspot software)
  • Wireless WAN routers, etc.
• Butcher paper or other large paper on which to create a schedule grid.
• Whiteboards/flip-boards or other presentation accessory materials of the sort.
• Food and drinks
• Disposable utensils and plates on which to eat. ;)

This event would not be possible without contributions from participants like you. There are a number of ways you can contribute—only one of them is financial. If you can make or bring any of the things on the needs list, please do so! If you can't but still want to help out, then please consider offering a monetary donation in the amount of your choosing by clicking the "Donate" button, below. Even as little as $5 goes a very long way towards helping us hold a better event.
